Empty legs

Discounted seats on jets that are already flying back empty.

Overview

When a charter jet drops its passengers and has to fly on to its next job, the return sector can fly empty. Operators may offer those seats at a lower price because the aircraft is going anyway.

We look for empty legs that match your route and dates and arrange them where the operator agrees. They are fixed by someone else's plans, so there is little room to change the time or route, and a flight can change or be cancelled if the original plan does. Empty legs suit travellers who are flexible and can adapt to the aircraft's schedule. If your plans are fixed, a standard charter is usually the better fit.

Think of an empty leg as an opportunity rather than a booking you can design. If one fits, it can work well. If it does not, we would rather tell you straight away and quote a standard charter than stretch your plans around an aircraft.

Who it is for

  • Travellers with flexible dates and times.
  • People heading along a route where jets often reposition.
  • Anyone who is comfortable adapting to the aircraft's schedule.

What we arrange

  • A search for empty legs near your route and dates.
  • A quote from the operator offering the flight.
  • Clear notes on what can and cannot change.
  • A fallback plan if the flight changes.

How it works

  1. Tell us your route and flexibility

Share your preferred dates and how much they can move.

  2. We search for matches

We check what operators are repositioning and send options.

  3. You decide, we confirm

If an option works, we confirm it and tell you the terms.

Questions we often hear

Why can an empty leg cost less?

The operator is flying the aircraft anyway and may offer the seats at a lower price. The price is whatever the operator quotes for that flight.

Can the flight change after I book?

It can, because it depends on the original charter's plans. We explain the terms for each flight so you know the risks before you commit.

Are empty legs always available?

No. They depend on what happens to be flying. If nothing matches, we can quote a standard charter instead.
